Rev. Mark Poyner

Rev Mark Poyner

Minister

Greetings All,
Rev. Mark Poyner has served as the Pastor of Community Reformed Church in Whiting, NJ since 2021. A graduate of New Brunswick Theological Seminary, he earned his Master of Divinity in 2020 and answered God’s call to ministry after a fulfilling career in business.
Before entering the pastorate, Pastor Mark spent over two decades in business management, most notably as a store manager with Walgreens Pharmacy for 22 years. His background in leadership and service has deeply shaped his pastoral approach—grounded in compassion, practical wisdom, and a strong desire to walk alongside people in all seasons of life.
Mark and his wife have been blessed with 42 years of marriage. Together, they have three wonderful children—John, Christopher, and Elisabeth—and are the proud grandparents of four grandchildren: Cora, Landon, Cybil, and Haley—with one more grandchild joyfully on the way.
He is passionate about preaching the gospel, fostering community outreach, and encouraging spiritual growth through worship, discipleship, and service. Whether you're new to the faith or looking for a church family, Pastor Mark welcomes you to experience God’s grace and hope here at Community Reformed Church.
